Consular Services Management System (MADAD) has been setup for Indian Citizens to log and track Grievances pertaining to the Consular Services offered by the Indian Embassies (Missions/Posts) abroad.
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) with a view to provide mobile enablement of MADAD, has launched MADAD Mobile Application on Android, iOS, and Windows platforms.
Grievances regarding Compensation, Court Case, Domestic Help, Imprisoned Abroad, Transportation of Mortal Remains, Repatriation, Salary Dues, Tracing the Whereabouts, Marital Disputes, Birth Certificate, No Obligation to Return to India (NORI) Certificate, Asylum-Cases, Worker Abuse, Recruiting Agent, Contract Problems, Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse and Sponsor Problems will be lodged.
Grievances/queries related to Visa and Passport, Emergency Travel Documents, and Attestation of Documents are not entertained through the MADAD system.
What is a Madad?
The MADAD (Help) Portal is an online grievances monitoring system launched by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on February 21, 2015. The e-portal provides Indian citizens living abroad an online platform in which they can file consular grievances to the Indian government.
How to Use MADAD Portal?
The MADAD Portal is completely online, making the process of filing grievances to the Indian government more convenient for both NRIs and government officials. The procedure for using the MADAD Portal is as follows:
STEP 1: Visit the MADAD Portal website.
STEP 2: Register.
STEP 3: File your grievance.
STEP 4: Receive confirmation and reference number.
Step 1: MADAD Portal Website
When you first visit the MADAD Portal website, you will be greeted with a page asking for your login ID. If this is your first time visiting the e-portal, you will have to register and create an account to get a login ID. Click the Register [New User] link.
Step 2: Registration
After clicking the Register [New User] link, you will be brought to a new page where you will create your MADAD Portal account. Enter your name, phone number, email ID, and password.
Click Register.
Verify your account my clicking on the link sent to your email ID.
After confirming, login using the username and password you created.
Step 3: Filing a Complaint
File your grievance or complaint by filling in the required fields displayed on the following page.
Step 4: Tracking Your Complaint
After you submit your complaint, you will be given a confirmation and reference number. Keep the complaint reference number handy. You can use this to track the status of your complaint later and see its history.
